New Farro, 950g Ingredients Brands

Farro is an ancient grain with a subtle nutty flavour. Once cooked, it should be tender but slightly chewy. It’s packed with fibre and protein – ideal for health conscious cooks.

You can serve farro as a side dish for roasted meat or vegetables. Its mild taste is great in risottos, soups and stews. The grain retains its texture, even after long cooking times.

Add a cup of farro to seasonal salads to make them more filling. This versatile grain is a great vehicle for leftovers such as sausages or roast squash. In summer, toss farro with tomatoes, basil and balsamic vinegar. This Italian-inspired salad is perfect for barbecues and picnics.
