Hot Black Truffle Oil Italian Ingredients|Truffles

Black truffle oil, made from high-quality black truffles, has a wonderfully intense aroma and rich earthy flavours.

Truffle oils come in a variety of unique flavors and can be used to enhance dishes like pasta, pizza, and risotto. The truffle oil should be used as a finishing oil – to drizzle over dishes just before serving.

The fine truffled Italian extra virgin olive oil is delicious drizzled over beef fillets, mushroom risottos, roasted celeriac and jerusalem artichokes, or even scrambled eggs for a luxurious breakfast dish.

This black truffle oil is produced in Acqualagna, the home of Italy’s truffle market, by Marini & Azzolini who have been collecting and producing truffle products for over 50 years.

How to use truffle oil

Black truffle oil can elevate a variety of dishes, from simple pasta to layered sauces. Here are some uses and pairings to explore:

• Pasta and Risotto: Drizzle black truffle oil over pasta dishes, such as spaghetti carbonara or fettuccine Alfredo, to add a rich, earthy flavour. It also pairs well with risotto, especially when combined with mushrooms or asparagus.

• Pizza and Flatbreads: Add a few drops of black truffle oil to pizza dough or brush it over flatbreads before topping with ingredients like prosciutto, arugula, or caramelized onions.

• Grilled Meat: Use black truffle oil as a marinade or finishing oil for grilled meats, such as steak or chicken, to add a deep, umami flavor.

• Roasted Veg: Black truffle oil can enhance the flavour of roasted or sautéed vegetables, such as Brussels sprouts or sweet potatoes, and is a great addition to vegan dishes like lentil soup or vegan mac and cheese.
