Best Arrabbiata Sauce, 340g Ingredients Brands|Italian Ingredients

This arrabiata sauce is made with 100% Italian tomatoes. It’s made by Rummo, one of Italy’s best-loved pasta brands. When you don’t have time to make a sauce from scratch, this is the next best thing.

Arrabiata is a spicy tomato sauce from the Lazio region of central Italy. Arrabiata means ‘angry’ in Italian – a reference to the sauce’s fiery flavour. Rummo uses a mixture of chilli varieties for a balanced but decisive heat.

With this sauce in your store cupboard, dinner is on the table in minutes. Simply heat the sauce, add cooked pasta and stir to combine. Top with Parmesan cheese and a few basil leaves.

Serve this fiery sauce with Rummo’s penne rigate. The sauce will cling to the ridges of the tube-shaped pasta. Any leftovers are great for lunch boxes the following day.

Refrigerate after opening and consume within 3 days.

About Rummo Pasta

Taking your time is key to the Italian way of life, and the Rummo family were traditional. When cooking pasta al dente you need to time it ‘just so’, yet they hated this rigour. The family wanted to create the only pasta certified to remain al dente and keep its shape during cooking. Even when you cook it for too long.

The Rummo family tested many different flours before finding the perfect durum wheat, and many different production methods before finding the perfect process. And so Rummo’s famous method — Lente Lavorazione or ‘relax’ — was born!

Today, each packet of Rummo pasta promises eccezionale tenuta all cottura – “exceptionally firm when cooked”. Whether the pasta cooks for 5 minutes too long in the pan, or it waits in sauce for 20 minutes whilst everyone comes to the table, you will have perfect pasta every time.
