Online DOP ‘Cuvee Cesar’ Olive Oil from Provence, 250ml French Ingredients|Oil, Vinegar & Dressings

The Alziari DOP ‘Cuvee Cesar’ olive oil is only available at certain times of year, and is produced in very small quantities. It’s made from Cailletier olives, which gives the oil a grassy aroma and the flavour of almonds and artichokes. Use it to dress tomato salads or burrata or mozzerella cheese or to finish a refreshing gazpacho soup.

The olives are cold extracted which means the oil never goes over 27°C during production, so the aroma compounds remain distinct. Keep this oil cool and out of direct sunlight.

Nicolas Alziari began producing olive oil in Nice in 1868. For 140 years, Alziari have been producing fine French olive oil, expertly blending olives from different terroirs to get the best flavour.

Alziari are one of the few European olive oil producers to champion the ‘Genoese’ method of cold extraction. The freshly picked olives are slowly ground for 2-3 hours to release the oil into a stone basin. The basin is then filled with cold water, and left until the fresh oil floats to the top. It’s collected immediately, and decanted straight into tins and bottles.

No vacuum harvesting techniques used, songbird friendly.
