New Japanese Binchotan Charcoal Water Purifier Japanese Ingredients|Kitchen Tools & Utensils

This Binchotan charcoal water purifier will soften and mineralise your water, whilst removing unwanted tastes and odours such as chlorine. The Japanese have been doing this for centuries! By balancing the pH level and making tap water taste better, this charcoal filter will help you drink more water without buying endless plastic bottles. Simply place it in water and it will filter out the nasties, leaving you with better tasting water.

How to use the charcoal water purifier:

First, boil the charcoal in water for 10 minutes and let it cool before use. Fill a bottle or carafe with tap water and leave to sit while the charcoal filters impurities from the water. You can taste the difference after just one hour but for best results, leave it overnight. You can reboil the charcoal to use again but it will begin to lose its effectiveness after six months.

When your water purifier is no longer effective, you can use it as fuel on the barbecue or to absorb odours around your home – it’s great for cat litter trays, bins, shoes and fridges.
