Hot Fettucce, 500g Ingredients Brands|Italian Ingredients

These long, flat pasta ribbons are similar to tagliatelle, just a touch slimmer. For an indulgent Italian supper, toss cooked fettuce with a rich, meaty ragu made with slow-cooked beef, pork or lamb. For a plant-based alternative, try lentils simmered in stock and red wine or a mushroom ragu fragrant with thyme and dried porcini. The sauce will cling to the pasta so that every mouthful is full of flavour.

For an inauthentic but comforting Friday night feast, use this dried pasta to make the Italian-American favourite, fettuccine alfredo. The slender strands are covered with a creamy sauce flavoured with garlic and Parmesan and often topped with sliced chicken, either grilled or coated in crispy, golden breadcrumbs.
