Clearance Mineral B Omelette Pan, 28cm Pots & Pans

De Buyer’s Mineral B omelette pan is ideal for searing, grilling and browning. Made from high quality iron, it delivers excellent caramelisation and even heat distribution. The low, curved sides make it easy to turn food in the pan and slide it onto a plate once cooked. Use this premium pan to make a classic omelette, cook crispy bacon or flip pancakes for breakfast.

De Buyer’s Mineral B range of iron pans are coated with natural beeswax. This provides protection against rust. The beeswax also gives Mineral B pans enhanced non-stick properties on the first use compared to other iron pans.

Established in France in 1830, De Buyer is a market leader in the field of cookware and bakeware. Made using traditional techniques, their exceptional pans are used in professional and domestic kitchens around the world.

Seasoning instructions:

The De Buyer Mineral B omelette pan requires proper seasoning to keep it in top condition. Before the first use, use hot water and a soft sponge to remove the beeswax coating. Then season the pan – pour in just enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan and bring to a high temperature. When a smoky-haze appears, remove it from the heat and wipe well with kitchen towel. Now the pan is ready to use.

Always ensure there is enough oil or natural fat (e.g. butter, lard) in the pan when using, then deglaze with hot water and wipe with a paper towel after use. If the pan needs washing, ensure it is completely dried and lightly-oiled before storing. Follow these steps and your pan will build up a dark patina that increases the pan’s non-stick properties. The more you use it, the more non-stick it will become.

This Mineral B omelette pan is 28cm in diameter. It is suitable for all cooking surfaces including induction.

The metal handle can become hot when cooking. Therefore, you may wish to consider purchasing the compatible glove handle to protect your hands.

Please note: due to the manufacturing process there may be scratches on the inner surface of the pan. This does not affect the quality of the product and will disappear with proper seasoning over time.

NOT dishwasher safe. To prevent rust do not leave to soak. PFOA and PTFE free. 100% recyclable.

All De Buyer Pans have a convex shape to the base of 1-2%. This stabilises the pan during the heating process and prevents the pan from potential warping.
