Best Cast Iron Frying Pan, 24cm Pots & Pans

The cast iron frying pan is hard-wearing and versatile. Sear seafood and fish, or to brown meat before adding to ragus and sauces. The pan will also go from hob to oven, so use it to make layered vegetable gratins, or to bake an American-style skillet cake.

Cast iron is a great choice for every kitchen. It reaches extremely high heats, and conducts evely – with no hot-spots! Sous Chef founder Nicola says: “A good cast iron pan will last for decades if you really look after it. Plus cast iron pans develop a lovely non-stick patina with every use – without any toxic non-stick coatings. Season them regularly with oil and they’ll be with you for life.”
