Purple corn flour is a versatile, gluten-free flour that originated in Peru. Made from ground purple corn kernels, it has a fine texture and nutty flavour. You can use it in place of regular flour in all kinds of sweet and savoury recipes. It gives dishes and drinks a vibrant purple hue.

Rich in antioxidants, purple corn flour can be used to bake cakes, cookies and muffins. It’s a must-have ingredient for making purple tortillas. These thin flatbreads make excellent tacos and tortilla chips.

Purple corn flour is also a useful thickening agent. Use it instead of white corn flour to thicken soups, sauces and stews.
