New Pralines Tin, 250g Ingredients Brands|French Ingredients

Transport yourself to seventeenth-century France with this tin of pralines from Mazet de Montargis. Whole almonds are grilled and coated in caramelised sugar, for a delightfully crunchy and nutty candy with sweet vanilla notes. Enjoy the pralines with an espresso, or even lightly crush and sprinkle over the meringue dessert, îles flottantes (floating islands) – but we won’t blame you if you can’t help yourself from munching them straight out of the tin!

Mazet are a luxury French confectioner, and are best known for making the true and original ‘pralines’. Mazet have been producing pralines and chocolates from their workshop in Montargis since 1903. The recipe for their famous grilled and caramelised almonds has remained unchanged since its invention for the court of Louis XIII in 1636, and Mazet is now almost synonymous with this iconic French candy. The pralines come in a stunning tin, bearing the image of Mazet’s historical boutique on the Place Mirabeau in Montargis. The floral patterns and scrolling baroque elements hark back to the pralines’ origin in the French royal court. The Mazet de Montargis pralines tin makes a special gift.
