New Oliva Luxe Paring Knife, 12cm Kitchen Knives

The Messermeister Oliva paring knife is an essential kitchen knife for all detailed cutting and slicing of the most delicate ingredients. This small and sturdy knife is ideal for segmenting fruit, finely slicing ginger or deveining prawns.

Why Messermeister Olivia?

• This knife is made in Solingen, Germany which is world-renowned for quality stainless steel.
• Made of a high carbon 1.4116 stainless steel and a 56-57 on the Rockwell hardness scale, this is a small knife that still offers a powerful and controlled cut.
• The blade is hand-sharpened at a 15 degree angle for an even and sharp edge from heel to tip.
• The Oliva Luxe knives are formed from single pieces of fully-forged and hot hammered steel to create a strong and powerful knife all the way from heel to point.
• The knife is half bolstered, meaning a sharper edge can easily be maintained for the full length of the blade when sharpening. It also makes for a more comfortable and smoother cut.

The Oliva range is named after the beautiful polished Italian olive wood handles the knives are made from, which have a sleek, smooth finish.

This knife is not dishwasher safe. Hand wash in warm water and avoid cleaners containing citrus and beach to protect the delicate wood. We advise you regularly oil the wood handle with food safe mineral or rapeseed oil to prevent splitting and protect the wooden finish.
