New Korean Solar Sea Salt Flakes, 400g Ingredients Brands|Korean Ingredients

Korean solar sea salt flakes (also known as Korean brining salt) is key to making your best batch of kimchi yet.

Solar sea salt is a Korean variety that’s typically aged for around two years to develop the mineral flavours which it is best-known for.

Due to its very high mineral content, it’s perfect for use in pickling and fermentation, when the salt is key to preserving the vegetables, whether that’s kimchi or gochujang. Korean sea salt leaves no bitter taste, letting the flavour of the preserves shine.

Korean solar sea salt can also be used in similar ways to fleur de sel as a finishing salt.
