Discount Spun Iron Prospector Saute Pan with Lid, 9″ Pots & Pans

Netherton Foundry’s prospector sauté pan is made from their signature spun iron. With deep sides and a large cooking surface, it’s a versatile piece of cookware. You can use it for braising, browning, frying and boiling.

The prospector pan can be used on all kinds of heat sources. It’s suitable for induction hobs, open fires and wood burning ovens. Cook indoors or outdoors, then carry it to the table to serve your guests. The pan has a tight-fitting lid and two riveted handles.

Netherton Foundry’s prospector sauté pan is also oven-safe. It’s great for braising and slow cooking. You can use it to make rich gravies and brown meat before roasting. The high sides make it a great choice for shallow frying.

The pan is lighter than cast iron but with the same durability and patina-building qualities. It heats fast and cools quickly. The pan comes pre-seasoned so you can start cooking right away. In time, a well-seasoned pan can be used to cook virtually fat free, for healthier cooking.

Made in Britain, Netherton Foundry pans are built to last a lifetime. With a little care, you can pass them down to the next generation.

About Netherton Foundry

The Netherton Foundry is a family company based in Shropshire – home of the 18th and 19th century ironmasters. Their pans are made from 99.1% pure iron and they use locally sourced materials wherever possible – the oak that makes the pan handles is British, and the flax seasoning oil comes from Sussex. Experienced local craftsmen use traditional manufacturing methods to bring you high quality cookware that gets better over time.
