Sansho and sesame furikake has a fresh, lemony flavour that will elevate steamed rice and seafood dishes. Furikake is a popular Japanese condiment, traditionally made with dried fish, sesame seeds and seaweed.

This blend is flavoured with sansho pepper, a Japanese relative of Sichuan pepper that has a strong citrus flavour and tongue-tingling peppery heat.

This Japanese seasoning will boost the flavour of rice and noodle dishes, salads and sauces for meat and fish. Try sprinkling it over agedashi tofu or freshly fried tempura.

The citrus notes are a great match for seafood and sushi

Furikake is a dry Japanese condiment that is typically used to season rice. It’s usually added at the end of cooking, often sprinkled over steamed rice and meat and seafood dishes.

With its umami-rich flavour, this versatile seasoning mix can also be used in marinades, salad dressings, breads and crackers.
