Discount Penne, 500g Ingredients Brands|Italian Ingredients

This dried, cylinder-shaped pasta has been enjoyed in Italy for thousands of years. Its name translates to ‘pen’ in Italian, because its pointed shape is said to resemble a quill.

A store cupboard essential for any pasta lover, penne pasta can be served in many different ways. It’s wonderful in pasta salads and baked dishes topped with cheese and crunchy breadcrumbs. In Italy, penne is often served with simple tomato sauces like amatriciana (flavoured with guanciale) or arrabiata (with garlic and chilli). Kids love it because it’s easy to stab with a fork or scoop with a spoon!
