British Smoked Quinoa, 300g Ingredients Brands|Made In The Uk

Grown in Essex, Hodmedod’s British quinoa is smoked in a bespoke wood blend to give it extra earthy kick! Use it in place of rice or couscous and serve with Middle Eastern stews or in vibrant grain salads.

How to cook smoked quinoa

Do not rinse prior to cooking. Cover with 1½ to two parts water or stock for each 1 part quinoa, bring to the boil and then simmer on a very low heat for 15 minutes. The grains will absorb the water and swell to 2 to 3 times their original size. Fluff the grains apart with a fork.

Hodmedod is a British company that supplies UK-grown beans, pulses and grains. They have built a reputation for sourcing fantastic quality ingredients, not usually produced in the UK – such as quinoa, fava beans, lentils and unusual varieties of peas. Hodmedod won the Best Producer in 2017 BBC Food & farming Awards.
